Description
Deià Vu Portraits is a photographic exploration of the people who transformed the small village of Deià into an international symbol of artistic freedom, creativity and bohemian spirit.
For decades, Deià became a refuge for painters, writers, musicians, poets and free spirits from around the world. Through intimate portraits and personal encounters, Pere Colom documents an atmosphere that, although it still preserves part of its essence, is gradually disappearing.
More than a collection of portraits, the book is a visual testimony to a cultural landscape suspended between memory, myth and reality.
Printed as an independent photographic publication, Deià Vu Portraits combines documentary sensitivity with an editorial approach inspired by contemporary photobooks and artistic archives.
